Singapore Infocomm Media Development Authority and other partners announced an initiative to distribute Antigen Rapid Testing Kits to film production companies specifically for unmasked screen talents.
Given the higher level of community spread during the current Phase 2 – Heightened Alert, the media industry is committed to more frequent testing to protect onscreen talents (fully vaccinated or otherwise), who are unmasked and must film close contact scenes. These onscreen talents or productions hiring them may use the link below to request the free Antigen Rapid Test (ART) kits supported by the Singapore Association of Motion Picture Professionals – SAMPP & The Actors’ Society.

Productions are also encouraged to avoid unnecessary filming of high-contact scenes while there is still community transmission of Covid-19 unless strict measures are set in place to reduce the risk of transmission. However, filming of high-contact scenes requiring momentary interaction within 1m distancing may take place. Hence, production companies are encouraged to use affordable DIY antigen rapid tests (ART).
A limited supply of free ART test kits is provided by IMDA through SAMPP and TAS with production company volunteer collection points. We hope these measures can help protect screen talent. Let’s all do our part to keep our community safe.
